2010 Titan Legacy Team Earns Bronze at HDC Western Super Summit
The 2010 Titan Hockey Academy Legacy team brought home bronze this past weekend at the HDC Western Super Summit in Calgary, emerging from a competitive field of 15 top teams.
With three wins and a tie in round robin play, the group set themselves up for a deep playoff run. Although they faced a tough 7-2 loss in the semifinals, the team bounced back in a big way, delivering a high-energy 10-6 win in the bronze medal game—played at the North East Sportsplex (NESS).
This marks the second consecutive podium finish for the 2010 Legacy team, who earned silver at the Alberta Champions Cup just two weeks earlier. The back-to-back medals speak to both the consistency and potential of this high-skill group.
Over the course of the weekend, the players showed impressive commitment to learning and adapting. “I’m proud of the effort the players made to keep improving and take things from each game,” said Head Coach Robert Tyszkiewicz. “This tournament had some really good opposition and gave us a lot of opportunities to grow.”
A major shoutout goes to goaltender Graeson Popp, who carried the load in net for all six games over the three-day tournament—a remarkable feat in itself.
The 2010 Legacy team is known for its skill, energy, and strong communication on and off the ice. That team-first mentality helped them push through a demanding schedule and keep the momentum going, game after game.
Congratulations to the 2010 Titan Legacy players and families for another proud step forward in a memorable spring season!
